I started my PhD in Fall 2010. I am interested in studying social online communities from a software design perspective. Lot of research is being done on using social and psychological sciences to understand, support and regulate online communities. I am now doing research on creating incentives to contribute in short-term communities and online communities of practice. I am also working on a inchoate collaborative project between research projects in USA and Chile that aims to identify learning problems in Chilean schools and provide technology-based solutions from a research perspective.
